The function of ultrasonic transducers is to convert the input electrical power into mechanical power (i.e. ultrasonic waves) and then transmit it out, while consuming very little power itself.
The technical problem to be solved for ultrasonic transducers is to design an ultrasonic transducer with a large action distance and wide frequency band.
The transducer consists of a housing, a matching layer, a piezoelectric ceramic disc transducer, a backing, a lead cable and a Cymbal array receiver. The piezoelectric ceramic disc transducer is made of PZT-5 piezoelectric material polarized in the thickness direction, and the Cymbal array receiver consists of 8 to 16 Cymbal transducers, two metal rings and a rubber gasket. The action distance of the present invention is greater than 35m, the frequency bandwidth reaches 10kHz, and it can detect high-speed moving long-distance targets.
We also encounter some common problems when using ultrasonic transducers, such as:
1. The ultrasonic vibrator is damp. You can use a megohmmeter to check the plug connected to the transducer. Checking the insulation resistance value can determine the basic situation. Generally, the insulation resistance is required to be greater than 5 megohms. If this insulation resistance value cannot be reached, it is usually because the transducer is damp. You can put the entire transducer (excluding the plastic-sprayed shell) in an oven set at about 100℃ for 3 hours or use a hair dryer to remove moisture until the resistance value is normal.
2. The transducer vibrator sparks and the ceramic material breaks. You can check it with the naked eye and a megohmmeter. Generally, as an emergency measure, you can disconnect the damaged vibrator, which will not affect the normal use of other vibrators.
3. The vibrator is debonded. Our transducer uses a dual guarantee process of bonding and screw tightening. Under normal circumstances, this situation will not occur.
4. The stainless steel vibration surface is perforated. Generally, the vibration surface may be perforated after the transducer is used at full load for 10 years.
5. The vibrator makes a harsh sound. You can check the vibrator screws and reassemble them. Or the ceramic piece is loose or damaged. This situation will also occur.
